The National Cadet Corps


National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a youth development movement. It has enormous potential for nation building. NCC the largest youth organization of the world which is regulated under the ministry of Defence ,it was formed in 1948, under the National Cadet Corps Act of 1948 and since then it is shaping the lives of millions of cadets.

It can be considered the successor of University Officers Training Corps, which was established by Britishers in 1942 during the wars of 1965 and 1971. The young comrades of NCC were the second line of defence. It was the time when NCC syllabus incorporated Leadership and OLQs (Officer-like Qualities) in its syllabus with a great emphasis.
